The studio

We are fascinated by the places that stay with us. Not because of what they show, but because of what they evoke. A successful interior is never just a collection of beautiful objects. It is a composition. A dialogue between space, materials, light, and the way a place is lived in. It is within this balance that truly memorable environments take shape.

At Matchy, interior architecture goes beyond the design of a space. It is about shaping the way people live, gather, and experience a place. Every project is considered as a whole, creating environments people naturally gravitate toward, return to, and share with others. Because great design is never defined solely by what we see. From private residences to hospitality destinations, every project is guided by the same ambition: to create places where people live, welcome others, and return again and again.

Justine Poulhazan, founder of Matchy Studio, has always been drawn to places that possess something difficult to define. The kind that stay with you long after you've left. A hotel, a home, a restaurant, or even a single room. Places where everything feels effortless, yet nothing is accidental.

Before founding Matchy, she spent more than a decade working across fashion, styling, scenography, and creative direction. Disciplines that shaped her eye and influenced the way she understands space. Through these experiences, she developed a particular sensitivity to composition, materials, and atmosphere, with the belief that emotion rarely comes from a single element, but from the dialogue created between them.

That belief became the foundation of Matchy. An approach where interior architecture, design, and the art of living come together to create places that are thoughtful, distinctive, and deeply memorable.
